Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join our team as an External Communications Coordinator. The External Communications Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the firm's visibility and public image through strategic, well-crafted communications. This position will lead external communication efforts, manage social media strategy, and develop PR content, such as press releases and newsletters, to highlight the firm's initiatives and achievements. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the coordinator ensures cohesive messaging across all channels and optimizes communications for varied platforms. The role includes tracking and analyzing key performance metrics, supporting public relations efforts, and managing email marketing campaigns, all to strengthen the firm's external engagement and align with organizational priorities.
Primary Functions


  • Develop and maintain a firm-wide communications calendar, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Lead communication efforts for special projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and analyze social media strategies, using analytics to enhance performance across platforms.
  • Support public relations efforts by drafting press releases, managing media outreach, and handling inquiries.
  • Write, edit, and proofread press releases, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators for communication initiatives, including social media engagement and website traffic.
  • Develop and manage email marketing campaigns, from content creation to distribution and engagement analysis.
  • Collaborate with designers, technical staff, and other stakeholders to produce brand-aligned collateral optimized for multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate with departments like marketing, HR, and support services to maintain messaging consistency and align with company goals.
  • Ensure consistency in tone and style across all communications, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Provide communication support for events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.



Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education/Licensure
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Desired Skills/Experience


  • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or related marketing communications roles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media strategy, content creation, and analytics tools.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders.
