We are searching for a talented Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Infectious Disease Hours: 40hrs Shift: Day shift 8:00am - 4:30pm Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA; This position will be working primarily from St Luke's Hospital, in New Bedford MA, with occasional travel to Tobey Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital. Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director, Pharmacy Services, plan, organize, monitor and carry out duties in support of the Antimicrobial Management Program to optimize clinical outcome, promote cost effective treatment and improve care while minimizing unintended effects of infectious disease care within Southcoast. Integrate the Antimicrobial Management Program with patient safety and quality improvement initiatives as outlined by Medicare, Joint Commission, and other agencies where appropriate antimicrobial use is monitored (e.g. Medicare National Pneumonia Project CAP, Medicare Surgical Care Improvement Project, and Joint Commission Core Measures).
