As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks an Donor Relations and Operations Specialist to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by being responsible for stewarding Marian University's scholarship program including data maintenance and donor report distribution.
This position is also responsible for data entry and updates for Advancement operations. Additional duties include generating invoices, pledge agreements, assisting with gift acknowledgments, and performing database queries needed to support daily operations. The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word, and possess a basic understanding of Customer Relationship Management databases with a strong desire further develop these skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
- Manages the endowed and private scholarship process, including:
o Maintaining scholarship information in Advancement CRM (Blackbaud RE/NXT) including award criteria, endowment value, recipients, and current donor contact information
o Coordinate with the financial aid and finance offices to secure annual scholarship information including monetary value and student recipient information
o Provide criteria to campus partners to ensure scholarships are awarded in a timely manner
o Generates annual scholarship reports for approximately 500 donors
o Collaborates with Advancement staff on annual scholarship dinner and additional scholarship donor stewardship activities, as deemed appropriate
o Periodic audits of data to ensure accurate information is provided to internal partners and donors
- Drafts pledge agreements and invoices as needed
- Runs and creates queries and reports from Blackbaud RE/NXT
- Helps with donor recognition projects through the website, plaques, donor walls and other forms of recognition
as needed in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Advancement leadership and outside vendors. - Helps maintain database with new and updated information based on returned mail, email, donor contact
information and other sources in conjunction with the Operations team. - Assists with and serves as back up for gift entry and acknowledgment
- Maintains certification in both Raiser's Edge 7 and RE-NXT.
- Cross-trains with the other Advancement Operations staff to ensure duties are completed during time off.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office of Institutional Advancement leadership.

To be qualified for this position the candidate must have:
- A college degree (bachelor's degree preferred) or comparable experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word.
- CRM/Database experience (Blackbaud RE/NXT preferred) with entering, importing, and exporting data based on various criteria for multiple purposes.
- Donor-centric mindset to ensure top-tier customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professionalism and high ethical standards for maintaining confidential information.
