Your responsibilities will include managing the Housing Management System (StarRez), overseeing occupancy, housing contracts, summer conferences, and orientation housing processes. Additionally, you'll lead the marketing and communications team and manage the department's technology systems. As an integral member of the executive leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to drive the success and growth of the department. Position Function |
Provides leadership and supervision for all aspects of business operations in Housing and Residence Life. The Business Operations team is at the forefront of developing and facilitating a positive customer service experience for students, campus partners, and Housing and Residence Life guests. This position is responsible for the oversight of the Housing Management System, StarRez, including occupancy management and processes, housing contract and lease development, summer conferences and orientation housing processes. Additionally, this position oversees our marketing and communications team and departmental technology and information systems. In collaboration with the
AVP/Director of Housing and Residence Life, this position implements the strategic direction and project management for business operations within Housing and Residence Life. Sits on the executive leadership team for Housing and Residence Life. Serves on regular leadership on-call duty rotations.

Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. |
Minimum Experience |
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience in housing, residence life, occupancy management, housing information technology, or related field. The position requires hands-on experience with StarRez, with the ability to understand advanced system capabilities. While coding expertise is not required, a general understanding of
SQL or StarQL is helpful. |
Minimum Other |
Understanding of university environments; excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills. |
Authorization to work in the US |
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. |
Preferred Education |
Master's degree from an accredited institution. |
Preferred Experience |
Applicants with at least five years of experience in housing, residence life, occupancy management, housing information technology, or related field. Significant experience with StarRez is preferred, particularly in utilizing its capabilities to support and guide operational and strategic goals. Experience with Banner is preferred, along with a general understanding of
SQL or StarQL. |
