Director Risk Management - Medical Group/Ambulatory

Overview:

Responsible for the facility/division's risk management activities, which includes, but is not limited to, administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, and conducting risk management educational programs. Coordinates with division leaders and collaborates with clinical teams to develop strategies to prevent medical error and reduce loss. Engages team members to evaluate incidents and conduct investigations provide for appropriate response to claims. Ensures compliance with risk management related laws and regulation to control and minimize losses. Identifies trends and reviews System reports; conducts loss control audits; and conducts reviews to evaluate patient care quality and to identify possible risk exposures. Participates with select committees related to the assessment of patient care and safety, customer satisfaction and facility issues to assist in providing risk management expertise and direction. Travel Required.

Education

• Bachelors Degree (Required)
• Masters Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of Risk Management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical Group/Ambulatory experience required.
