*** Remote opportunity with up to 40% travel primarily in the Southeast Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Electrical Engineer within our corporate Process Control Center of Excellence team. This position is based out of Atlanta, GA but may be home based. This individual will primarily be responsible for supporting and improving control systems and automation in our Dixie manufacturing facilities. A successful candidate will enjoy utilizing engineering expertise to solve problems and improve the reliability and functionality of existing control systems while also providing scopes, estimates, and design for new installations What You Will Do * Ensuring the facility's control systems are operating safely, reliably, efficiently * Providing troubleshooting and support of the manufacturing operation across multiple facilities * Providing guidance to manufacturing operations on selection and implementation of process control technologies * Designing, programming, modifying, and maintaining PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and (HMI Human-Machine Interface) * Pursuing engineering solutions to resolve equipment deficiencies Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Minimum of a two year Technical/Vocational degree OR Associate's Degree or Higher * Minimum of two or more years of professional experience working with PLCs to include troubleshooting, configuration, and HMI design * Must be able to travel to facilities when needed to provide onsite support 40% What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering * Experience working within a Pulp and Paper operation * Minimum of five or more years of professional experience working with PLCs to include troubleshooting, configuration, and HMI design * Experience with 3-phase motor controls, 480V A/C systems, and low voltage D/C systems * Experience working with multiple vintages of PLC platforms * Experience working with VFDs, servos, and fieldbus networks such as Profibus, Controlnet, Devicenet, and Ethernet For this role, we anticipate paying $115K - $145K At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
