JOB MISSION:

As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the VibeIQ / FlexPLM platforms to align with the business needs of the organization. You will work together with cross functional teams, including business stakeholders, business transformation team, IT engineers, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving digital transformation in redefining the way New Balance designs, builds and merchandises Footwear and Apparel products, improving the product development processes, and ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and functional teams, such as product owners, business change teams, and business users, to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions within the VIBEIQ and PTC FLEX PLM environments.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of analysts, configurators, and engineers involved in the design and development of product creation systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.

  • Successfully partner with product owners to introduce new tools and ways of working through innovation and new technologies to further increase efficiency and user experience.

  • Partner with IT development team to define, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing VibeIQ and FLEX PLM configuration and development technical specifications.

  • Assume ownership along with the product operations team and development team to help troubleshoot production support issues and provide comprehensive solutions. Coach and guide other team members through support issues.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the footwear and apparel product creation domain and work within the structure of the full software development, and configuration lifecycle. Asist in the definition and rollout of application interfaces and integration points.

  • Contribute on cross functional initiatives and partner with subject matter experts in one or more business areas. Leverage application and domain expertise to provide guidance and educate others.

  • Role tasks to include process mapping and documentation, configuration design, testing, installation, and maintenance support when necessary. Ensure business requirements and system objectives are correctly reflected in solution design. Ensure that project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are met.

  • Partner with head of engineering to be the point NB resource to key vendors, collaborating on production support issues, system performance discussions, out-of-box functionality deficiencies and future roadmap discussions

  • Stay updated with the latest VibeIQ & FlexPLM features, releases, and industry trends to continuously improve the solution.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 8+ years hands-on design and implementation of business & technical solutions on the PTC FLEX PLM and Windchill platform

  • 5+ years of complex system integration experience

  • Knowledge of VibeIQ as a solution a plus

  • Consumer product/manufacturing industry experience a plus.

  • Exposure and understanding of product lifecycle management - product development, merchandising and sourcing business functions..

  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, XML, Web Services, and database management (SQL/Oracle)

  • Experience with cloud-based deployments, SaaS models.

  • Demonstrated capability in successful project delivery and in business process re-engineering

  • Exposure to AGILE way of working

  • Resourceful / results oriented

  • Exposure to global large scale project implementations, complex projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Strong MS desktop skills

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
