Job Description

The Department of Surgery at University of Missouri is seeking a Business Support Specialist II to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Divisions of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery. This position will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of both divisions.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate closely with Division Chiefs and faculty members to manage and support the day-to-day operations of both the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery divisions.
* Work effectively with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), clinic staff, and other divisional and departmental personnel to meet and exceed divisional goals.
* Answer phone calls, manage calendars, and schedule appointments for division faculty and staff.
* Enter data into the University of Missouri call schedule systems and QGenda, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Process time-off requests for faculty and staff, and assist with travel arrangements and reimbursement.
* Coordinate CME activities, ensuring compliance with department requirements.
* Order necessary supplies for the division, ensuring that resources are available when needed.

Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $16.72/hour -$27/hour
Grade: GGS-007
