Description Acara Solutions is seeking a Project Accountant for a premier architectural and engineering firm located in the heart of downtown Buffalo. With a rich history of delivering innovative and sustainable projects, the firm values precision, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional accounting and project billing, with experience in accounting software, preferably Ajera. This role is pivotal in supporting the firm's accounting clean-up project and ensuring smooth financial operations. Location: Buffalo, NY 14203 Pay Rate: Up to $30/hour Schedule: 100% Onsite Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including processing invoices, payments, and collections. Oversee project billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for multiple projects. Prepare and maintain financial reports, providing insights into project and company performance. Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets and financial records align with project goals. Support the accounting clean-up project to streamline processes and correct discrepancies. Reconcile accounts and resolve billing issues to maintain accurate financial records. Utilize Ajera software to input, track, and manage financial data. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: High School Diploma (HS Diploma) Minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional accounting, including AP/AR Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Experience with Ajera software is strongly preferred Hands-on project billing experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries highly preferred Demonstrated success in managing or contributing to accounting clean-up projects Strong ability to work independently with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Aleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employers.
