Job Description
With minimal supervision and a high degree of autonomy, the Ambulatory Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Manager in collaboration with the Lead Physician's and under the direction of the Sr. Director of Women's Health, coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical and educational objectives in the clinical programs at University Health. The Program Manager monitors the staff and clinical care of patients referred to the clinical setting and provides clinical support to improve the standard of care in the ambulatory clinical practice. The Program Manager educates staff and serves as a community liaison for the assigned clinical program. The Program Manager facilitates and coordinates the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the University health maternal substance use disorder program. Work closely with and provides oversight for program activities related to Center of Excellence development, staff education, patient education, and community partnerships to achieve targeted goals and outcomes.The manager in collaboration with the lead physician, facilitates and coordinates the research program needs to ensure and integrated program. Minimum Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a graduate degree in Nursing. Three years management experience
  • Current Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge and experience in Performance Improvement processes, and applicable governmental and health care regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge and comfort with participatory management approaches, which involve clinical department chairman, medical staff, and various levels of management in addition to external agencies and regulating bodies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Outgoing person with high service orientation.
  • Sound judgment sufficient to ensure the integrity of operations and to provide exemplary leadership in the development of teamwork among staff.
  • Considerable skill in facilitating problem solving.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer aptitude.
