Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Merritt, Island, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Maintenance Mechanic is an integral part of performing preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting / problem-solving machine issues, and general upkeep of the facility.
  • Escalates issues to ensure that forecasted sales and unit production plans are properly integrated for the company.
  • Actively participate in Preventive Maintenance tasks for various machines (CNC, Manual Machines, Hydraulic Presses, Forklifts, and Heavy Machinery).
  • Participate in making machine/asset replacement suggestions based on Maintenance downtime.
  • Develops and implements standard safety, productivity, and cost awareness work.
  • Help monitor and prioritize the incoming Maintenance Ticket system.
  • Distributes work orders to departments, denoting the number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
  • Manage staffing and execution of the department.

Pay: $30/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in an AS9100 and ISO 9001 regulated environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and group sessions as a team member with the ability to interface with representatives of suppliers and governmental oversight organizations.
  • Possesses critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in personal communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to lead by influencing, negotiating, and delegating.
  • Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and basic electrical repair.
  • Ability to diagnose / triage machine issues and alarm faults.
  • Ability to perform basic carpentry and facilities maintenance as necessary.
  • Able to adapt to various working conditions.
  • Vocational training.
  • Licensed electrician/plumber.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Able to perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation; able to stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.
  • Able to lift 50lbs., moving between buildings with work orders and products multiple times daily.
  • Overtime as necessary to meet customer and project goals.
  • Properly wearing PPE as necessary.
  • Attending necessary training sessions.
  • Properly caring for, cleaning, maintaining, and inspecting PPE as necessary.
  • Following EMFInc PPE policies and rules.
  • Informing the supervisor of the need to repair or replace PPE.
  • Safety Glasses, Hand Protection, Ear Protection, and Head Protection.
