Position Summary:

SIG SAUER, a leading firearms manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Web Content Editor to join our dynamic marketing team. As a Web Content Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the online presence of SIG SAUER ACADEMY by ensuring the accuracy, effectiveness, and overall quality of our website content. If you have a passion for firearms, exceptional editing skills, and proficiency in Magento, HTML, CSS, Adobe Suite, and graphic design, we would love to hear from you.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Management:



  • Publish and update content on the website using a content management system (CMS) such as Magento, Figma, Ceros, Klaviyo, Markup, Optimizely, HTML, CSS or similar platforms.
  • Design and edit creative, compelling and informative content for our website, including landing pages, product descriptions, blogs and more.
  • Optimize website pages for SEO, including meta tags, headings, and alt tags.
  • Ensure timely delivery and publication of content in coordination with editorial calendars.
  • Monitor and review website content to maintain accuracy and relevance.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative and engaging website content.
  • Archive outdated or irrelevant content and ensure that all live content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Manage multimedia content such as images, videos, and interactive elements in collaboration with the design team.
  • Ensure that all website content is optimized for mobile devices and follows responsive design principles.
  • Contribute to the development of content strategies that align with business objectives and user needs.
  • Identify content gaps and propose improvements or new content opportunities to enhance user engagement.
  • Stay updated on web content trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Regularly audit website content to ensure freshness, accuracy, and alignment with current brand and business goals.
  • Optimize web content for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic rankings and drive organic traffic.


Collaborate with Teams:



  • Work closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and visually appealing content.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and revisions for web content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and maintain compelling and engaging content for SIG SAUER ACADEMY and SIG SAUER'S website, ensuring that it aligns with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Work closely with graphic designers, developers, and other team members to ensure that all website content is visually appealing and user-friendly.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Web Content Editor or similar role
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Optimizely, Magento, Coreware, WordPress, Eloqua, HTML, CSS, Adobe Suite, and graphic design.
  • Proven experience as a Web Content Editor or similar role.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English, with exceptional editing and proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and best practices.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality content and user experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for firearms and a good understanding of the industry would be an advantage.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
