Your Role With Us:As a Patient Placement RN for House Operations at Salem Health, your role involves ensuring the efficient and timely placement of patients by collaborating with various healthcare teams, including physicians, charge nurses, and the Emergency Department (ED) care manager. You will oversee direct admissions, manage intra-hospital transfers, and ensure that patients are placed in the appropriate care setting based on clinical assessments and InterQual criteria. You'll also work with transferring hospitals, applying knowledge of EMTALA laws, and addressing discrepancies in patient placement decisions. Daily, you'll evaluate bed availability, attend bed meetings, and work to improve resource utilization.
