The mission of the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging is to become the nation's most person-centered and cost-effective state support system for people with disabilities and older Tennesseans. Job Overview:

The Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) is seeking a Training Officer 2 to assist with the development and deployment of the Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy is an internal employee development program within the Division of Human Resources and Organizational Development aimed at providing leadership skills to employees across the department on various topics. This position reports to the Internal Policy Director in Human Resources and Organizational Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching content for and helping to develop a menu of courses for the Leadership Academy.
  • Presenting and facilitating courses to employees across the state both in person and in a virtual setting.
  • Reviewing feedback and data from surveys and assessments to implement program improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, and Three years' experience in full time professional work in one or a combination of academic teaching, training, educational administration, or development of course curriculum for educational programs. Additional graduate work may be substituted for required experience.
