Description PRIMARY FUNCTION The Operations Manager in the Floor Covering Division will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of floor covering projects and services. This includes overseeing the daily operations, logistics, installation, inventory management, customer service, managing teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and services related to floor coverings. This position will also be responsible for managing employee relations, safety of all branch employees, job supervision and customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual who can lead a team effectively, strategically plan, optimize operations to drive productivity, and work with various departments to ensure the smooth execution of projects and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the floor covering division, delivering quality products and services, and maintaining customer satisfaction. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Operational Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage teams involved in the production, installation, and delivery of floor covering products and services.
- Ensure operational efficiency by monitoring workflow, addressing challenges, and implementing improvements.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company objectives and industry best practices.
2. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, procurement of floor covering materials, and the efficient distribution to meet project timelines.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring the availability of products needed for installation and customer orders.
3. Project Management:
- Oversee the execution of floor covering projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, installers, and clients to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are exceeded.
- Track project progress, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to schedules and resources as necessary.
4. Quality Control:
- Ensure the highest standards of quality in all aspects of production, installation, and customer service.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures to prevent defects or delays.
- Address customer complaints or issues related to the quality of products or services and implement corrective actions.
5. Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the budget for the floor covering division.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Analyze financial reports to assess the division's performance and make recommendations for improvements.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to floor covering products, installation, and workplace safety.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the team, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines.
7. Customer Service and Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded by delivering high-quality services and timely installations.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns, offering solutions and improvements as needed.
8. Staff Management and Development:
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of employees within the floor covering division.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals for team members, and provide guidance for professional development.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring high employee morale and retention.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL: Works with all Leadership and Team Members; direct work with implementation teams - design, PM and installation crews, and Marketing staff. EXTERNAL: Works with clients, vendors and strategic partners. DIRECT REPORTS: Direct supervision of Warehouse Manager and Field Supervisors. Oversight to Warehouse Managers direct reports including Warehouse Lead and Members. Requirements MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year College Degree
- 5+ years of experience in Flooring / Construction Operations Management
- 5+ years of experience in team leadership position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
DESIRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
