JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, in Hershey, PA is seeking a Postdoctoral scholar. This position will work in epigenetics and transcriptional regulation in leukemia. The successful applicant will conduct cutting edge research in the regulation of gene expression in leukemia. This will include experiments that will use molecular and cellular biology techniques including qRT-PCR, quantitative chromatin immunoprecipitation (qChIP), ChIP-seq, retroviral and lentiviral production, transfection, luciferase reporter assay, tissue culture, cloning, DNA and RNA isolation, Western blot, protein purification, flow cytometry, as well as isolation of hematopoietic cells from mouse bone marrow and spleen. Depending on skills, the scholar might be assigned to assist in writing manuscripts. Must have a PhD or terminal degree in a relevant field in hand by time of start. This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire. Employment will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance withUniversitypolicies.
