Reimagine What's Possible

The Senior Data Scientist will work to apply Project Delivery Finance to drive insights to increase efficiency at Air Products. You will contribute ideas to AI/ML strategy at Air Products and effectively implement improvement opportunities using AI/ML leading to business success and growth within the Project Delivery Organization. You will also work with business partners to inspire change based on data driven insights. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Expert practitioner in AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning), and related fields
  • Learn continuously to stay current on groundbreaking AI/ML technology
  • Identify and understand business problems, define data requirements, formulate, build, and communicate AI/ML solutions concisely
  • Work as part of cross-functional finance and IT teams supporting conceptual and detailed digital solutions, AI analytics, and work automation solutions
  • Lead deployment projects, test data and analytics solutions and support the finance team
  • Bring Data Science perspective working with Project Delivery Organization to identify performance gaps and opportunities to drive improvement and efficiency
  • Cultivate a strong network with business and functional partners to drive AI/ML adoption.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS, MS in analytics/data sciences is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in related industry
  • Track record of successful solution development in an engineering environment
  • Solid understanding in databases, application development environments, and data science tools
  • Creative & innovative with a positive attitude
  • Ability to function well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to work within and lead interdisciplinary, global project teams.
  • Knowledgeable in modern SQL and NoSQL database technologies
  • Ability to deploy enterprise-wide digital analytics solutions for various finance initiatives on large EPC projects
  • Experience with Data Science Tools (e.g., Python and R) and how to apply them to derive data-driven insight pertaining to EPC use-cases.
  • Experience with developing and deploying Engineering, Procurement and Construction analytics projects is a plus.
