SUMMARY

This position will provide quality support by working with members of a new product line development team, and external suppliers through product commercialization. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who can ensure that product components and finished product meet expectations, within the project timeline.

Andersen Corporation is a privately held, nationally recognized, and market leading manufacturer of premium quality windows and doors. Renewal by Andersen is the wholly owned Window and Door replacement division of the Andersen Corporation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES



  • Provide quality support for new product lines including:
  • Qualifying supplied parts by analyzing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submittals
  • Measuring parts produced by fabrication or assembly equipment
  • Analyzing measurement data and conducting capability studies
  • Performing Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies (GR&R)
  • Procure measurement gages through the expense and / or capital expenditure processes
  • Create Control Plans and Work Instruction documentation and conduct training
  • Transform data from various sources into usable information for engineer/leader decision-making


QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-5 years of related work experience in quality required, 6-8 years desired
  • Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems
  • Experience in the area of document creation, control, and training
  • Usage of computer software tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Minitab, Etc.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, including capability studies and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced agile environment


WORK REQUIREMENTS



  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% when required (primarily domestic, occasionally international)

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
