Physician - Palliative Care Cancer, Inpatient

The Inova Schar Cancer (ISC) and the Palliative Medicine & Comprehensive Care program at Inova are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our interdisciplinary team in an inpatient setting. This is a full-time position, eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

The Palliative Medicine & Comprehensive Care acute care team at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus consists of five physicians, three advanced practice providers, two palliative clinical therapists, a palliative RN, a hospice coordinator, and a dedicated chaplain.

Our team provides specialty consultations for adults throughout the 923-bed hospital campus, focusing on advanced symptom management and serious illness communication.

We aim to enhance and embed palliative care within our cancer program through expert patient care and program development. Palliative care not only improves the quality of life for our patients but has also been shown to extend life in cancer patients. Additional Requirements:

• Licensure - Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Experience - Successful completion of physician residency program
• Education - Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Palliative Care
