Graduate Administrator

The Office of the Dean in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, Central Support Staff is seeking a Graduate Administrator in the Graduate Studies Office. The Graduate Administrator is a key staff member and will act as liaison between the Office of Graduate Studies and one or more academic departments.


Job Summary

Advises students and prospective students on admissions, financial aid, academic requirements, career development, and/or campus activities. Coordinates school-wide academic advising and peer mentoring programs. Implements program activities and works with Admissions and Career Services to provide quality program information and administer multiple types of information sessions. Corresponds with those seeking admissions standards and academic and non-academic programs. Assists with special projects and trains lower level employees, students, and volunteers.


Essential Functions

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, excellent verbal and written communication between faculty, staff and students.


Physical Effort

This position is generally sedentary. Some stooping, bending, lifting, light walking are required.
