Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Backend Architect with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients intermediaries and internal Cognizant authorities to build high impact solutions
• Define solution vision and direction building on commonalities and benefits across lines of business and technologies
• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with other microservices and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
• Advise on best practices for microservices architecture, including design patterns, security, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team
  

Qualifications:

• Highly experienced Sr. Architect with 12+ years of experience with legacy modernization or digital transformations
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer
• 10+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Experience with microservices architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and other related technologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Passion for learning new technologies and a strong desire to stay current with industry trends.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
