Job Summary

We are seeking a strong Java Architect to join our Cognizant Digital Engineering Practice. The ideal candidate will be designing scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications. This is an on-site role with day shifts. As a lead, will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust solutions that align with our company's goals and enhance our network operations.

Primary Location: Irving, TX

Secondary Location: Tampa FL, Basking Bridge NJ, Alpharetta GA

Responsibilities

* Meeting with technology managers and the design team to discuss the goals and needs of the company.

* Examining and defining current architecture systems.

* Designing scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications.

* Identifying the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the company's architectural goals.

* Troubleshooting design flaws and system bottlenecks and code quality.

* Performing validation tests to ensure the flexibility and scalability of the Java environment.

* Conducting system performance tests.

* Completing systems reports.

Qualifications

* 10+ years of relevant work experience

* Proficiency with Java, Spring boot, Design Patterns, Openshift, MQ and system design

* Ability to come up with appropriate solutions with pros and cons

* BFS payment experience

* Previous work experience in an architect role

* Advanced knowledge of software architecture.

* Experience with the design and implementation of software networks.

* Experience with software design and web programming.

* High-level project management skills.

* Ability to solve complex software system issues.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
