Senior Java developer

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Java Engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Spring Boot Java Spring MVC JavaScript and MySQL.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Work closely with product management to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Implement best practices for software development and ensure compliance with company standards.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
Engage in regular team meetings and contribute to project planning and progress tracking.

Qualifications

Possess strong experience in AWS SQL Spring Boot Java Spring MVC JavaScript and MySQL.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Show proficiency in designing and implementing scalable and maintainable code.
Have experience in the Cards & Payments domain (nice to have).
Display strong communication and collaboration skills.
Be capable of working in a hybrid work model with a day shift schedule.
