Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Specialist to join our team. This associate will be a member of our Compression Systems & Services Americas Sourcing Organization, supporting the development, implementation, and management to provide Ingersoll Rand with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. The Sourcing Specialist builds and leverages strong working relationships with our engineering, operations and quality teams and key suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets met, as well as works towards good supplier relationships to achieve maximum advantage for Ingersoll Rand and our customers.

Responsibilities:

* Update plant reports for our distribution center and manufacturing location (daily, weekly, or monthly cadences)
* Execute request for quotes supporting our assembly and aftermarket customers
* Assist with new supplier and parts set-up in
* Managing Spend across our valves and machine parts categories to include Productivity projects, claw back, pay terms negotiations, stocking programs, Supply gap/escalation support, pricing negotiations
* Performing tariff mitigation/dual sourcing investigation for machined parts and valves (China suppliers)
* Analyze market trends and supplier performance
* Partnering with diverse cross-functional team to coordinate and deliver on project objectives

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
* 2-5 years' experience in sourcing, supply chain or related field (industrial manufacturing experience a plus)
* Developing negotiation skills and experience performing vendor assessment and qualification
* Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy, and using it to drive decisions as well as present results and business cases to management
* Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, is required. Proficiency using Excel at an intermediate or high level (use financial and logical functions; work with multiple worksheets and workbooks; edit and use macros/ import and export information) is REQUIRED
* Previous lean manufacturing or 6 Sigma concepts desirable.
* Oracle & SAP experience in a global environment is beneficial

* Evidence of skills & attributes including effective listening, gathering complete information, ensuring accuracy, problem-solving, negotiating, researching discrepancies, and handling conflict are critical.
* The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet compressed deadlines, and handle frequent interruptions is essential.

* Ability and willingness to respond quickly and appropriately in a dynamic, fast paced work environment and the flexibility to withstand challenging situations

Working Conditions:

* Office-based with occasional travel to Mocksville and Charlotte locations or suppliers (10%)
