Overview

The Global Payroll Manager will oversee and manage payroll operations for our global workforce both through a direct team of payroll professionals and indirect teams of international HR/COE teammates. The ideal candidate will ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time across multiple countries, staying compliant with local regulations and company policies. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of international payroll practices and tax regulations.



Responsibilities

    Global Payroll Management: Oversee and manage the payroll process for teammates across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and international laws regarding payroll, taxes, and benefits. Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a global payroll team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective and efficient payroll processing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure a seamless payroll experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and other departments to ensure alignment on payroll-related matters, such as compensation changes, benefits, and taxation.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party payroll, time and labor, and other service providers, ensuring seamless operations and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide accurate payroll reporting and analysis to senior management, including labor cost analysis, tax liabilities, and other key metrics.
  • Teammate Support: Address employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee payroll systems and tools, ensuring that the payroll platform is configured correctly and is up-to-date with the latest features, security patches, and functionality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • The wage range for this position is $97,000.00-$145,000.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience


Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and relevant work experience (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree Finance or Accounting (Preferred)

Experience

  • 7+ years years of experience in global payroll management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Required
  • 5+ years experience managing payroll team of at least 3 Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of international payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. (High proficiency)
  • Strong experience with payroll software and systems; familiarity with global payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, or similar tools. (High proficiency)
  • Proven ability to manage payroll for a large, multi-country workforce. (High proficiency)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. (High proficiency)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. (High proficiency)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with employees and senior leaders across various departments and regions. (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. (High proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)-APA Preferred
  • Global Payroll Management (GPM) Preferred
