PI Lead Quality Technician

Purpose of the job

Manage the daily acitivites related to work orders and FMIs

Ensure Product Quality compliance according to Customer & Internal specifications during warranty period

Manage operationally the problem solving for quality issues appearing during warranty phase

Support Industrial Quality Standards per manufacturing process during MODs and FMIs

Main tasks



  • Direct interface to the Customer (Quality)
  • Lead PI technicians and managework orders and FMIs
  • Support the PrPIM / Customer site director when needed
  • Deploy Self-Inspection for FMIs and manage Workstation Dynamic Checklists (Self-Inspection)
  • Perform or participate to inspections of products when required (e.g. MODs inspections)
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of Car History Book throughout warranty phase
  • Manage QA activities in relevant workshop: People, Process & Performance (APSYS)
  • Support the decision for all Hand Overs (GO / NOGO) & keeps NO GO Veto Right in any case
  • Manage External NCR and 8Ds until closure using Problem Solving (e.g. QRQC) methodology.
  • Reports / Escalates to SQ Warranty manager (at region or global level) to unblock critical situations.
  • Alerts the Project Product Introduction Manager in case of epidemic issues



Education & Experience Mandatory Requirements



  • Master's degree in engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical...) or equivalent for Engineer

    OR Associate degree for Technician (ex. 2years technical degree after high school) [with leadership skills]
  • Special Process Qualification minimum at Level 2 according to Quality Academy criteria's
  • Experience in managing Quality tools (Problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, ...)
  • Processes knowledge on Quality
  • Using digital tools
  • Problem solving method
  • Quality analysis tools (8D, Ishikawa)
