This position is 1st shift

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Conducts layouts of parts (stamped metal component parts, purchased parts, tools, dies, gauges, and fixtures by both table and CMM, including weld verification.)
  • Completes necessary paperwork for Sample Submission packages, (dimensional, material, ES test, SC summary, marked up blueprint, review control plans and FMEA's, etc.
  • Authorized to conducts R&R studies and writes gauge instructions/procedures on all gauges and fixtures.
  • Participates in capabilities studies and reviews.
  • Supports Tool and Die corrective actions as needed.
  • Authorize to coordinate/conduct ES testing and documentation.
  • Support receiving inspection, in process and final inspection.
  • Interfaces with internal customers and participates on problem solving teams with regards to production, customer, and supplier concerns.
  • Supports SPECS, MOS, and safety programs. Also responsible for practicing good housekeeping standards.
  • Participate in production tooling tryouts and approvals.
  • Use CAD system in performing layouts and reporting.
  • Assist and guide the hands-on training for layout apprentices.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.
  • Authorized to initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, processes and quality system.


JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, and training in SPC, GD&T, and CAD or willingness and aptitude to be trained in CAD. Must have experience in layout on table and experience in CMM layout or willingness and aptitude to be trained in CMM layout, preferably with the automotive industry.
