The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our government customer located in Kaua`i, Hawai'i.

Executes the Quality Assurance Program for the delivery of quality data and products to meet all operational requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Reviews ORs, ODs, and DMAPs and provide inputs.
  • Monitors, reviews and inspects data products produced at PMRF for quality and completeness.
  • Interfaces and coordinates Data Systems activities with Government Systems Manager (GSM), Mission Engineers, Program Managers, and Koa Lani Management to ensure mutual awareness of the data requirements.
  • Attends and participates in meetings such as Operational Scheduling Meetings, Operation Briefs, Program Presentations, Hot-Wash and Lesson Learned meetings, etc. May be required to travel off the island to attend meetings.
  • Maintains record of quality assurance checks performed on each data item/data package.
  • Maintains statistical information on data quality including error quantity and error patters indicating trends that may require corrective actions.
  • Prepares and submits data analysis and summary reports.
  • Proposes changes in data production processes or new programs to reduce errors and improve data quality.
  • Monitors new programs and processes to verify an improvement in quality and a reduction in errors.
  • Assists in the planning and coordination of long-range operations projects to assure ability to meet data requirements, availability of instrumentation and personnel.
  • Provides technical expertise and propose alternative actions to resolve identified conflicts, as required.
  • Assists all procurement activities of Data Systems (Purchase Request, PCard, Travel, etc.) and ensures compliance with all Customer, Corporate and Project policies.
  • Prepares and submits all Contract Data Requirements (CDL) as required in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Environment:



  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, attention to detail and well organized.
  • Works in general office and computer room environment.
  • Extended operational hours and occasional weekend/holiday activity during sustained periods of surge mission support.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10lbs and push or pull up to 10lbs. Will be walking, standing or sitting for extended periods. Physical environment will include customer contact, extended work days in an office laboratory type setting.


REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus two (+2) years in a related field and education may be substituted for the required experience and education.
  • or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Must possess the following PC skills: Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Access and other software programming experience.
  • Knowledge of quality and process improvement programs.
  • LINUX, software programming, Electronic, Computer Science or Engineering experience/education desirable


REQUIRED SECURITY AND CLEARANCE:



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
