Key Responsibilities:
Market-Making and Thought Leadership: * Leverage CxOs/Middle managers network of Oil and Gas industry in NA to help grow our business. * Identify, lead, or oversee the development of customer-facing business solutions and offerings that impact the market. * Develop and deliver innovative strategies and tools to target new and current clients. * Align intent with clients to identify opportunities to add additional value and accelerate outcomes. * Front face thought leadership and develop solutions for complex client situations to ensure meeting of goals & objectives as well as deliver results on time. * Build trust-based client relationships to manage expectations and facilitate client decision-making.
Delivery Management: * Manage the Consulting practice for the Oil and Gas Industry for NA - people management, delivery management, and client engagement. * Lead complex end-to-end projects to deliver timely service, revenue, cost, and risk mitigations in line with project and business objectives of our clients. * Develop and empower team members through formal and informal feedback, readily coaching and mentoring project team and client-side contributors, creating a one-team experience. * Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of NA Oil and Gas consulting practice. * Deliver concise and effective communications to clients and internal stakeholders. * Accountable for managing & growing a customer base and sustainable revenue stream. * Expand and identify current and new business projects by strengthening client relationships. * Manage relationships with internal departments to ensure clear communication and strategy dictates the requirements from them to support the Oil and Gas sector operation.
Practice Building: * Develop thought leadership and methodologies in collaboration with international colleagues to build the practice through proactive pitches. * Attract, recruit, develop, and retain talent. * Contribute to building the most exciting and rewarding consulting environment. * Ability to manage and execute large strategic deals, proposals, and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities. Key Competencies: * Consulting leadership experience in Oil and Gas. * Known in the industry for thought leadership and white papers specific to the Oil and Gas Domain. * Core skills in at least 2-3 areas - Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream. * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to coach and lead both consultants and client-side contributors. * Facilitating and driving co-innovation with clients and partners. * Ability to manage and execute large strategic deals, proposals, and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities. * Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * People leadership experience, managing complex and high-performing teams. * Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level. * Flexibility to travel. Experience: * 20+ years of industry consulting experience, being a trusted advisor to clients. * Proven experience in mobilizing, leading, and successfully delivering large transformational client engagements in NA. * Track record of collaboratively growing consulting accounts through expansion/extension. * Proven experience in solving critical business issues faced by clients through thought leadership. * Solid understanding of Oil and Gas Industry procedures and best practices. Qualifications: * Bachelors degree (preferably a Masters) in Business, Oil and Gas, or a related field. Work Authorization * Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.) Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $122,400.00 - $194,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
