Job Title: Data Analyst

Location(s): Albany, NY

Project Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with data, string analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights. The Data Analyst will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to support informed decision-making within Canals Infrastructure.

Job Functions & Responsibilities



  • Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Clean and preprocess data to remove inconsistencies and errors.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Use data visualization tools such as power BI to present insights in a user-friendly format.
  • Create clear and compelling visualizations (Charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct statistical analyses to derive actionable insights.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
  • Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure, the integrity of the data.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Propose and implement improvements to data collection and analysis processes


Skills



  • Proven experience as a data analyst with a focus on programming and reporting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and report generation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently


Education & Certifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (e.g., Computer science, Statistics, Data Science).
