DCE EE Hardware Engineer Category: Engineering Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-381141 DCE EE Hardware Engineer Seeking Contract EE hardware engineer with an interest in printed circuit board design including schematics and layout to join our fast paced development. You would initially be responsible for PCB layout but will also become involved in implementing and designing boards for our upcoming vehicles. This work would focus on product differentiating interior, customer-facing designs and circuits for new products features and development. A good candidate would have an interest in shipping products in which they will be responsible for schematic design, layout, bring up, and testing for. They would have knowledge of DC to DC converters, High speed digital signaling, common data buses (I2C, SPI...). What you'll do... Electrical Design - This would include schematic and layout of key electrical boards in Altium as well as providing guidance to OEMs on executing designs. Bring Up and validation - Bring up designs done in house and at OEM. Test designs for reliability and validity. Implement changes to address issues found. Testing - Run testing of prototypes circuits and vendor EVBs System Integration - Work with other engineering teams to integrate electrical designs into our vehicles. Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience working with eCAD tools, including Altium. Knowledge of DC/DC converters, Transmission lines, Common Data buses (Bluetooth, WiFi, ethernet), Board design and layout best practices Ability to review layouts and schematics. Nice to have but not required: 3+ years experience with Systems/HW architectures experience Python scripting experience C/C++ coding experience Design experience with micro processors and encoders Design experience in automotive design (AECxxx, CAN, LIN) Estimated Min Rate: $60.00 Estimated Max Rate: $90.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
