Our Team As a Koch Ag & Energy Solutions company, Koch Fertilizer delivers a full line of fertilizers designed to boost crop performance and help growers reach their yields. Koch Fertilizer is looking for Engineering Interns to be assigned to their locations in Dodge City, KS, Fort Dodge, IA, and Enid, OK. Open roles include in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Process Engineering. Koch Fertilizer is an entrepreneurial company pursuing self-motivated interns to be a part of the team driving collaboration and customer service to both internal and external partners. Ideal internship candidates will have a demonstrated ability to solve problems, be detail-oriented, well-organized, and be an effective communicator. What You Will Do Koch Fertilizer currently has Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering and Reliability Engineering internship opportunities at their sites in Dodge City, KS, Enid, OK and Fort Dodge, IA. Dodge City, KS: Electrical Engineering Intern * Perform root cause analysis investigations related to electrical failures. * Interface with vendors and support procurement to bring electrical replacement parts to the plant. * Write specs and data sheets for electrical. Process Engineering Intern * Collaborate with the process engineering team to identify and implement process improvements * Conduct data analysis and generate reports to track process performance and identify areas for improvement * Assist in the documentation and standardization of processes, including creating standard operating procedures Enid, OK: Mechanical Engineering Intern (Reliability) * Support the project engineering team by preparing project scopes, specifications, schedules, budgets, and funding requests. * Manage assigned engineering work orders while working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists. * Field verification of engineering drawings and field data collection for project planning and execution. * Prepare design calculations and reports. * Assist other departments such as operations, Quality etc. with their engineering requests (RES). Fort Dodge, IA: Mechanical Engineering Interns (Fixed and Rotating) * Support the project engineering team by preparing project scopes, specifications, schedules, budgets, and funding requests. * Manage assigned engineering work orders while working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists. * Field verification of engineering drawings and field data collection for project planning and execution. * Prepare design calculations and reports. * Assist other departments such as operations, Quality etc. with their engineering requests (RES). Process Engineering Intern * Collaborate with the process engineering team to identify and implement process improvements * Conduct data analysis and generate reports to track process performance and identify areas for improvement * Assist in the documentation and standardization of processes, including creating standard operating procedures Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Enrolled in a relevant engineering degree or alternative program.
