For the Next Generation High Speed Trainset project, ALSTOM is offering a high level of Maintenance Service to AMTRAK (operator), under the form of a TSSSA contract (Technical Support and Spares Supply Agreement).

The Amtrak TSSSA Project focuses on enhancing the operational performance, reliability, and maintenance of the next generation of Acela high-speed train, which operates in the Northeast Corridor, connecting key metropolitan areas including Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Alstom has an opening for a 'Digital Service Engineer'. The position is posted for Philadelphia, PA. In Alstom Services, our focus is to provide excellence in customer support and develop innovative mobility solutions.

The job of "V.I.E. Digital Service Engineer" consists in providing technical expertise to Alstom teams, in deploying and analyzing data coming from the smart system (on-board, trackside) and from the Operator. For this they can rely on Alstom's most advanced tools, especially TrainTracer and HealthHub suite enabling not only trains remote monitoring but also predictive maintenance and prognosis for the highest service performances.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Serve as the main point of contact between the Digital Monitoring Center (DMC) and the Amtrak project for all matters related to digital solutions.
  • Coordinate digital activities on the Amtrak project to ensure it leverages insights from other projects and effectively utilizes available tools.
  • Collaborate with the project Fleet Support Engineers to assist, configure, and analyze data from hardware and software components regarding to the Amtrak project.
  • Recommend Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) solutions for the Amtrak project based on identified challenges and needs.
  • Document procedure of methodology of data transfert and connexions to digitalplatform
  • Become familiar with Legacy and Alstom digital solutions in prognostics (predictive maintenance), data analytics (trends, correlations across multiple sites and products), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), and remote telematic sensors (Motes, Netbox, Alphabox, LoRA...) data collection and analysis
  • Link data acquisition of legacy solutions to Alstom health monitoring platform (Health Hub)
  • Become subject matter experts in prognostics (predictive maintenance), data analytics (trends, correlations across multiple sites and products), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), and remote telematic sensors (Motes, Netbox, Alphabox, LoRA...)
  • Program alerts and data mining algorithms using Alstom digital tools such as Healthub
  • Support Rolling Stock in the design and validation of the end to end process (data acquisition, model implementation, algorithm implementation and trigger of the alert, impact on the maintenance service)


REQUIRED PROFILE:



  • Master's degree in Engineering (rail, electronics or software engineering preferred) or equivalent to bac +5
  • Important interest and knowledge on digital embedded systems for CBM and data analysis
  • Experience in technical project coordination
  • Fluent in English
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to be autonomous and also to relaunch and work with internal as well as external teams
  • A problem-solving attitude: the candidate has already identified and solved complex technical problems
  • Understanding of railway product systems and subsystems and wayside equipment is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with various software programming languages and tools used in data processing and reporting
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships across different divisions of a company
  • The candidate must be versatile, very autonomous, with practical experience, comfortable working in unclear and poorly defined environments, resourceful in finding information
