Lead Software Engineer - Phyton/AWS

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Software Engineer with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications.

You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. • Develop and maintain scalable software solutions using AWS and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. - Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive. - Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process. - Ensure that all software developed is secure and compliant with industry standards. - Document software solutions and processes for future reference.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with the evolving technology landscape.

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

• 10 to 12 years of experience in software development.
• Strong technical skills in AWS and Python.
• Domain experience in Payer is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and industry standard methodologies/trends.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
