Koch Minerals & Trading is seeking a Credit Analyst to join our team. The Credit Analyst will play a key role in supporting KMT's fast-paced global commodity trading business, and will work closely with internal commercial and risk team members globally, as well as counterparties' finance professionals. The successful candidate will apply strong critical thinking, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and a collaborative approach to understand, communicate and optimize credit risks for KMT.

Our Team

KMT's Credit team is an experienced group of risk professionals, with team members in the US, Europe and Asia. The team partners with trading teams globally to support their business visions.

What You Will Do

* Develop strong understanding of new and existing counterparties' credit risk profiles
* Identify and communicate credit risk drivers to support credit exposure decisions
* Partner with commercial teams to understand and optimize reward/risk tradeoffs in counterparty relationships to drive decisions aligned with Koch's risk philosophy
* Recommend and approve credit limits supported by the risk point of view
* Build and maintain relationships with counterparties to support credit risk analysis and credit term and agreement negotiations
* Develop and implement improvements to credit systems and processes
* Manage counterparty exposures within approved limits, including by obtaining letters of credit and other collateral
* Perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Customer (KYC) vetting on counterparties and reply to incoming AML/KYC requests

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Professional credit analysis experience
* Experience analyzing corporate financial statements, identifying and communicating credit risk drivers, and making reward/risk judgments
* Experience developing counterparty relationships and managing counterparty exposures
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related field

What Will Put You Ahead

* Credit analysis experience at a commodity trading firm, commodity marketer or producer, or bank active in commodities
* Experience with financial derivatives and related credit risks
* Speak, read and write Spanish, French, German, or Mandarin
* Experience with letters of credit
* Experience developing solutions in PowerBI, PowerQuery, Alteryx, or similar tools
