You are a person who loves to conduct in-depth evaluations of both hospital chargemaster files as well as the received third party payments for multiple hospital systems. We need someone who has expertise in auditing revenue codes, CPT & HCPCS codes, charge descriptions, and modifiers assigned to charges in all ancillary departments. In the role of Chargemaster and Revenue Integrity Analyst you'll be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data for hospital leadership and compiling client action plans and reports. ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Abide by the AAPC's and AHIMA's Standards for Ethical Coding and Confidentiality tenets.
  • Auditing of charges, documentation, coding, and billing practices for hospital services to determine improvement opportunities based on official guidelines and facility/client policies.
  • Evaluation of client hospital chargemasters (overall and department specific) making recommendations for additions, deletions and revisions as needed.
  • Provide Medicare charge analysis and Core Based Statistical Area average charge analysis.
  • Provide classroom or webinar education for hospital staff regarding correct charging, documentation, and coding practices for compliant reimbursement.
  • Research CMS and other related websites to keep abreast of regulatory guidance.
  • Oversee charge integrity, reconciliation, and charge linkages from ancillary charging systems
  • Maintain compliance with government regulations, reimbursement issues, etc.
  • Analyze hospital billing claims within the EHR and claim scrubber system
  • Resolve claim errors, edits, and other holds
  • Works with clinical and ancillary operational departments on correct coding, billing, and charging principles
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Position Requirements:


  • AHIMA, HFMA, NHARI or like kind certification, highly desired
  • Five or more years of experience with hospital billing systems and third-party billing requirements, preferred
  • Experience in revenue integrity operations, clinical charge capture, charge master, or revenue cycle operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of Medicare claims processing guidelines
  • Experience with EPIC, MediTech, CPSI, or other EHR system
  • In-depth knowledge of the practices, procedures, and concepts of the healthcare revenue cycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), and revenue codes

General Areas of Accountability:
Must conduct business and personal affairs in a manner that is always a credit to the company. Must maintain a good credit rating while employed with the company.

  • Follow HIPAA guidelines for protecting the privacy and security of sensitive personal and/or health information.

    Performance Management:
  • All Signature Performance associates are subject to regular performance management to determine if skills and training requirements are suitable for the position.


Machines and Equipment:
The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as copiers and fax machines.
Physical Activity:


  • The incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, see, sit, hear, and speak. This position is sedentary in nature with minimal lifting requirements.


Working Conditions:
The incumbent works in an office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting and data keying are required.


  • Remote Eligibility: This position is Ad-hoc remote eligible. Eligibility is determined by Management or Talent Operations.
