Job Summary:
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Location Facilities Team. Provides Key-Task back-up for purchases directly related to HSSE and Facilities items, Purchases for special projects to support the labs, managing paperwork, important records, meetings schedules, general assistance with campus logistics. Responsibilities & Duties:
Assists with all Facilities and HSSE activities as required which includes but is not limited to the following Inspections for Emergency Preparedness System Visitors & Contractors Program management (Coordinating & communicating contractor visits, obtaining required documentation such as HSSE contractor form, insurances and additional training records, giving HSSE orientation to contractors to ensure they perform work safely and to the expectations of CSA) Coordinating Fire Safety and Emergency system inspections (Fire ext., sprinklers, suppression, etc inspections) Perform monthly inspections of AED, Eyewash stations, fire extinguishers and first aid kits. Coordinating external HSSE training 5S Team Lead for Shipping & Facilities Monitor PPE stock and order replacements as necessary. Regular communications to staff Performing minor repairs and contacting external licensed trades for others Fork Truck operation, shipping & Receiving priorities, dangerous goods and Hazardous Spills response Responsible for ordering and maintaining consumables i.e. paper products, janitorial supplies, coffee supplies and lunches for larger meetings (10 attendees or more), office supplies, and assists with other various purchases for the Location staff. Assist with setting up Concur Travel arrangements for Location managers Any and all other assistance needed to help support daily operations Lifting, movement, twisting, using ladders, hand tools, shop tools, long periods of word processing and very active priority resetting for a very active to-do list. Regular external communications with service contractors
Qualifications:
Licensed forklift operator preferred Computer skills (standard applications) Good communication skills; report writing General carpentry and maintenance skills; use of power and hand tools Strong organizational skills
