Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in the commercial construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multi-million dollar construction projects, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This is a hands-on role where you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met at all times. You will be managing multiple projects concurrently (1-10 projects at a time) and will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and quality control.
  • Procore Expertise: Utilize Procore software extensively for project management tasks, including document control, budgeting, change orders, daily logs, and communication. Must be fully proficient and up-to-date with Procore's features and functionality.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and maintain project budgets. Monitor costs and ensure effective management of resources to prevent overages.
  • Coordination: Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal team members to ensure smooth project execution. Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address any project challenges that arise.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to all safety and quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular project updates to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • No Direct Reports: While managing multiple projects simultaneously, this role does not involve supervising other employees but will work closely with various project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing $10M+ commercial construction projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Procore Expertise: Must be highly proficient in Procore software and have recent experience using it to manage projects effectively.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong experience in managing complex projects, with an ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously (1-10 projects at a time).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with the ability to track and manage numerous tasks and project elements simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges early and implement solutions effectively.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry best practices, safety regulations, and construction standards.

Additional Information:

  • Location: This role may require some travel to job sites, with primary responsibility for managing projects remotely or from the office.
  • Work Schedule: Standard office hours with occasional flexibility required depending on project timelines and deadlines.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
