Lead Manufacturing Supply Chain Specialist

This role will be responsible for complex supply chain functions, including procurement, production planning, and inventory management. This role will work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Qualifications/Experience:

Associate's or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)

Three (3) years of related experience

Certified Planning and Inventory Management, Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified Logistics and Distribution

Valid Drivers License, Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt

Key Responsibilities: Parts and Goods Procurement:

Execute on the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.

Issue PO's, developed and negotiate RFP's

Pay vendors with WEX Plog, check request and EFT

Place orders though Basware vendors

Negotiate with suppliers, logistics providers, and other external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Analyze, optimize and implement, supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Develop, Implement and maintain supply chain metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Execute production planning process, including capacity planning and scheduling. Effectively resolve any supply chain issues, such as delivery delays, quality issues, and inventory discrepancies.

Inventory Control and Management:

Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and develop supply plans to ensure adequate stock levels.

Assist in the production planning process, including capacity planning and scheduling. Stock Shelfs, perform inventory, delivery parts

Conduct Inventory counts and reconciliation Shipping and Receiving :

Communicate with delivery drivers.

Monitor gate and provide access to facility

Operate Forklift and other equipment

Parts and Product Inspections:
Inspection delivered, returned and used parts and products to verify compliance.
Collaborate with the team to identify and document any deviations, defects, or non-conformities.
Quality Assurance:
Lead the verification that products meet or exceed established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
Ensure strict compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Advanced Testing and Measurement:
Lead complex tests, measurements, and evaluations using advanced tools and equipment to assess product quality.
Analyze and interpret test data to identify trends or critical quality issues.
Reporting:
Provide reporting, analytical support and modeling to support all aspects of plant production File Management:
Maintain organized paper and digital files of all relevant data for easy access and future reference.

Customer Service:

Manage and provide superior customer service and feed back in a clear and concise manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate closely with production teams, engineers, and cross-functional departments to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Effectively communicate inspection findings and quality issues to relevant stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and optimizing production processes.
Drive quality improvement projects and provide expertise in quality-related matters.

Customer Service:

Provide superior customer service and feed back in a clear and concise manner.

Compliance and Safety:
Lead team and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Report, correct and address any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Work Instructions: Lead and perform pre production inspections, Bill of Material and Work Instruction development and updating

Resource Assistance:
Advise leadership regarding resource needs, including equipment, tools, and materials, to ensure efficient and effective operations. Work with all levels of leadership to plan for future needs and projects.

Budget Assistance:
Advise leadership regarding budget process including monthly reviews, yearly budget development, capital requests. Maintain department within budget Other Duties: As assigned

Ability to lift and handle heavy objects (up to 75 pounds).
Manual dexterity for handling small parts and components.
Comfort working in various weather conditions.
Extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
