HDR is seeking a Transportation Planner to support our Ohio transit team. In the role of Transportation Planner, we'll count on you to:
- Demonstrate public meeting and planning experience
- Collect, assimilate and manage project-related data
- Assist in preparation and participation of public information meetings
- Participate in planning work sessions in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
- Coordinate your workload to complete deliverables on schedule
- Support a variety of transportation planning projects including corridor studies, complete streets, bicycle planning, transit planning, long range planning, community planning, or public engagement.
- Assist in creating technical reports, studies, presentations, and other materials for stakeholders and clients to document planning study findings.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field
- 2 years of relevant transportation planning experience
- Possess excellent analytical and communication skills
- Understanding of transportation planning principles
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Geographic Information Systems
- Possess excellent writing skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality
- Adobe InDesign
- Transit, Bicycle, and/or Pedestrian Planning Experience
- Experience working on projects with transit agencies, municipalities, state, and federal government organizations with relevance to transportation and transit in Ohio
