Manufacturing / Maintenance Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION: Supervisor of hourly employees in Prototype Operations. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Attend / Manage daily Operations Meeting
- Identify daily build requirement from Material Coordinators, and complete schedule
*Daily update of hourly time in GMTKS
*Resolve UAW issues, maintain MOU
*Engage workforce in importance of Quality (Eyes for Quality)
*Support Health & Safety directives
*Manage workforce to minimize overtime
*Work on continuous improvement of through-put for daily builds and machining
*Drive customer PPM's to zero
*Drive sample delivery to 100% on time, plan ahead to avoid build delays
*Maintain calibration schedule on all gages SKILLS AND ABILITIES: *High level oral / written communication skills
*High level of analytical ability
*PC literate
*High level of negotiation skills
*Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
*Ability to make quick, sound business decisions
*Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing and Problem Solving
*Ability to manage budget and accurately charge work preformed
*Ability to manage people
*Ability to schedule work and people to meet Customer requirements EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
*2 Year Degree or Equivalent Experience
*Formal Problem Solving Training (preferred)
