Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics operations using a Transportation Management System (TMS), creating accurate shipping documents, ensuring compliance with export documentation requirements, closing work orders, adjusting the production schedule, and collaborating with the production team and supervisors. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage the Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize logistics operations.
- Create and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to shipping and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation and tracking information.
- Work effectively with other departments, such as production and sales, to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Create and close production work orders to maintain accurate records of manufacturing activities.
- Invoice customer equipment accurately and timely to ensure proper billing and payment.
- Adjust the production schedule based on logistics needs and constraints.
- Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to ensure alignment of logistics activities with production schedules.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned; includes but not limited to special projects, covering for colleagues and participating in company events.
Education & Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong knowledge of shipping and export documentation requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivated, energetic, positive attitude
