JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior HR Generalist evaluates, develops, and implements HR programs locally in accordance with the organization's HR policies. Contributes to the development of HR policies and processes. Participates in and leads local HR projects, development initiatives, and roll out of new or revised HR programs. Performs analysis and interprets data and information to draw conclusions and recommendations that will assist in developing HR programs. Acts as a business partner to managers with advice and recommendations for actions in people-related decision-making. Interacts with external consultants and suppliers to ensure the organization receives agreed standards of service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide professional, reliable, and prompt service to our business partners and employees. Work in partnership with others to meet and exceed expectations.

  • Operates as a trusted advisor by using professional credibility and strong relationships with senior leaders to influence key priorities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day tactical responsibilities of the functional area and remove roadblocks for department employees
  • Knowledge of affirmative action program; EEO-1; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations, and OAG reporting
  • Strengthen the leadership team by providing coaching and development to local leaders.
  • Oversees payroll-processing, onboarding and off boarding for all employees reporting into the site
  • Manage all reporting requirements, data tracking and internal communications within HR Team.
  • Develops and maintains employee engagement and retention programs
  • Supports annual performance management process and assists with ongoing performance management communications throughout the year
  • Ensures workers compensation claims are being processed and works with Benefits Specialists.
  • Responsible for employee relations including investigations, documentation, problem solving, and resolution
  • Knowledge of requisition posting internally and externally, and collaborates with Talent Acquisition Team for On-boarding, Orientation, etc. of new hires
  • Works on special projects relating to the development/revision of HR programs and procedures, delivers training related to Human Resources programs
  • Supports HR Regional Manager by contributing to ongoing process improvements in the HR department
  • Assist Payroll with timecard management
  • Safety in the workplace promoter
  • HRIS expert knowledge (Workday, ADP)
  • High understanding of Confidentiality

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • Experience coaching and guiding managers on decision making
  • 5-7 years HR Generalist experience
  • Knowledge of employment laws and other government compliance regulations
  • Microsoft Office, ADP, E-Time, Workday, and background checking software.
  • Travel will be required - 5-10% of the time

PREFERED:

  • Payroll Experience
  • Experience with Manufacturing Industry
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. This work requires sitting most of the time.
  • Daily walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for sustained periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
  • Physically reports to work during regular office hours.
