Senior Systems Engineer - Fremont, CA - Onsite

This is an onsite role in Freemont, California.

In the Senior Systems Engineer role, you must thoroughly understand system design and system integration tools and methodologies to combine pieces from the different functional elements of Mechanical, Electrical, Fluidics, and Software engineering for multiple products. Product platforms may include robotic laboratory automation, flow cytometers, cell imaging, Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), and informatics software to rapidly analyze samples and convert generated data into helpful information for our customers.

This position will serve as the technical leader for developing and reviewing engineering requirements, systems integration and testing, experiments, and research activities related to product development.

What you will accomplish together with us:

• Design and conduct system-level characterization and verification of complex systems; collect, organize, analyze, and document test results
• Lead/perform the management and development of user needs and product requirements, including verification and validation
• Lead/Perform Risk assessments
• Ensure quality in a product's design for usability, reliability, functionality, marketability, and manufacturability
• Provide engineering support for the design and development of instruments
• Support the organization's intellectual property strategy by documenting data and independent, unique, and patentable ideas that result from experimentations and concept-generation activities

What will convince us:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering (or Science related field)
• Demonstrated ability to apply systems engineering principles to the development of new products
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering

• Experience with flow cell design for commercial instrumentation is a plus

Compensation for this position will be a base salary between $105,000.00 and $160,000.00 plus bonus depending on experience.
