Dock Clerk- 1st Shift

Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Dock Clerk to work from our Golden Flake facility located in Birmingham, AL on 1st Shift. The Dock Clerk is responsible to distribute product to dock spaces. The work hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3pm plus weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Verifies the accuracy, completeness, and quality of shipments against orders and directs changes to correct shipments.
• Execute functions in D365 systems to verify inventory in D365 with reason codes, release orders for work to the warehouse/ assign pickers work, confirm shipments, print BOL and Packaging lists with correct trailer numbers and seal numbers.
• Execute functions in BluJay transportation system to close loads and upload documents.
• Input and calculation of Transportation information for driver's payroll.
• Must be flexible to cover other shifts in an event of vacation or call out of supervision.
• Performs physical inventories as requested.
• Readily takes instruction from the supervisor and is eager to improve work activities and knowledge base.
• Communicates effectively with manufacturing, transport drivers and other Logistics personnel.

Job Requirement

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Knowledge of product codes and units packed per carton acquired through three weeks of on the job experience.
• The ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to details.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
