Blender Operator

RelaDyne, Inc. is the established leader in lubricant sales, distribution, equipment reliability services, and value-added services. Our location is currently looking for a motivated Blender Operator with a strong work ethic.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Read and follow bill of materials/batch card, prepare, weigh, mix and blend raw materials by following specifications to determine material and equipment requirements.
  • Perform the process through the operation of scales, blenders, mixers, pumps, and various other production equipment.
  • Assist in checking materials and equipment to ensure quality and achieve effectiveness of operation.
  • Perform safety and housekeeping aspects of the job by following all safety rules, wearing required safety equipment, keeping work areas clean during and at completion of tasks, maintaining all work stations and equipment in an orderly and clean fashion.
  • Perform basic packaging inspection to eliminate chance of product contamination.
  • Fill and package drum, pail, and bulk containers to specific weights from storage or production tanks.
  • Be vigilant in detecting and identifying faulty equipment, defective and unusual materials to supervisor.
  • Assist, maintain, and help repair various production equipment, etc., in plant operations.
  • Assist Shipping/Receiving Department as needed.
  • Follow company Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions, rules and regulations, safety
  • precautions, and maintain quality standards
  • In addition to these typical duties, individual may perform other duties as assigned and required.



Other



  • Communicate warehouse/blending/quality concerns to supervisor
  • Correct any system file maintenance issues as they occur
  • Compliance with company uniform policy
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring customer loyalty
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
  • Work overtime as needed



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Experience in chemical/lubricant mixing, batching, batch processing, and/or synthesis reactions.
  • High school degree (minimum) or equivalent.
  • Must read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Possess good communication, math and organizational skills.
  • Follow instructions effectively.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Be physically fit and able to lift, move, and stand for long periods.
  • Detail oriented, record of good job performance, dependable, and exhibit excellent attendance.
  • Safety education.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Warehouse layout.
  • Process training.
  • General computer skills for basic data entry.


Requirements



  • A minimum of 3 years warehouse experience is required
  • Mechanically inclined candidates are strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in a pumping role preferred

  • Attendance (number/percentage of days present for work)
  • Safety (number of days without violation or injury)
  • Accuracy
  • Productivity (day's work in a day)
  • Operational summaries
  • Housekeeping
