Job Description

Finance Intern

Location of Position: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH

Job Objective: The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance, including financial analysis, reporting, and day-to-day financial operations. The selected candidate will work closely with our finance team and gain valuable insights into the financial functions of a growing organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.

Financial Analysis:



  • Assist in analyzing financial data and trends to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management review.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Work closely with the finance team to analyze variances and identify key drivers.


Accounting Support:



  • Assist with routine accounting tasks, such as journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy in financial records.


Financial Operations:



  • Participate in day-to-day financial activities, including AP review and expense tracking.
  • Assist in maintaining financial databases and records.


Ad-hoc Projects:



  • Contribute to special projects as assigned, providing analytical and research support.
  • Take initiative in identifying areas for process improvement within the finance department.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
