Summary:

The Brand Manager, EXPAREL, will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities for the EXPAREL brand, contributing to the execution of its marketing strategy and helping to drive its growth across diverse therapeutic areas. This position requires a proactive and results-driven marketer who can work cross-functionally to ensure the brand's success in meeting the needs of healthcare providers and patients. The Brand Manager will be involved in strategic brand initiatives, market analysis, and ensuring effective communication of the brand's value proposition.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Brand Strategy & Tactical Execution:
o Collaborate in the development and execution of the EXPAREL brand strategy, including long-term positioning, customer engagement tactics, and promotional initiatives.
o Assist in the execution of marketing programs and activities to support the brand's presence in the market.
o Ensure alignment with broader organizational goals while driving brand growth and positioning.

2. Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with sales, medical affairs, regulatory, and commercial teams to align on brand vision and marketing activities.
o Support the execution of integrated marketing strategies, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and functional areas.

3. Market Insights & Competitive Analysis:
o Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to assess the evolving landscape and identify opportunities for growth.
o Analyze key metrics to refine marketing strategies, monitor brand performance, and adapt tactics to improve results.

4. Brand Communication & Stakeholder Support:
o Assist in developing impactful marketing materials, including sales tools, promotional content, and educational resources for internal teams and external stakeholders.
o Ensure consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints, aligning with the EXPAREL brand's objectives.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Support key opinion leader (KOL) and external partner engagement to enhance brand awareness and strengthen relationships within the healthcare community.
o Represent the EXPAREL brand at relevant industry events and assist with KOL relationships to foster brand advocacy.
6. Resource Management & Budget Support:
o Help manage marketing budgets and ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
o Track the effectiveness of marketing spend and adjust strategies to optimize budget utilization.

7. Commercial Execution:
o Play a key role in the tactical execution of brand strategies, from the development of sales materials to the execution of promotional campaigns.
o Work closely with sales teams to ensure the availability of tools that effectively engage customers and drive sales performance.

8. Brand Health & Performance Tracking:
o Regularly track and report on brand performance using relevant KPIs, providing insights to senior leadership on brand health and market share.
o Collaborate with the team to continuously adjust marketing strategies to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.

Interaction:
Will work closely with employees in all other functional areas and directly with the commercial team.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

* A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or medical device sectors.
* Experience in cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive brand objectives.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and work within a matrix environment.
* Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion in a timely and efficient manner.
* Strong ability to analyze market trends and performance data, using insights to adapt marketing tactics.
* Capable of executing both long-term brand strategies and day-to-day marketing operations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives and presentations for internal and external audiences.
* Comfort with engaging KOLs and stakeholders to support brand objectives.

Travel Requirements

* ~35% Anticipated travel primarily to attend society education meetings, field meetings with KOLs and/or conducting field research and advisory boards

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role in San Francisco, California is $113,000 per year to $155,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
