Sr. Front End Developer

Location:

Our Digital team custom builds Key's Consumer Online Banking and Mobile Banking apps. We bring the concept of Financial Wellness and Money Management to more than 3 million people across the country and from all walks of life.

On our team, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for Support Coverage for 24x7 365 calendar ensuring proper protocol in resource alignment to monitor dashboards, system logs, alerts, runbooks and escalation procedures
• Security certificate management including Tracking and orchestrating change / implementation and validation
• Drive to restore and ultimately find root cause for critical incident scenarios that directly or indirectly impact online and mobile banking capabilities
• Assume responsibility for our design system component ecosystem. These components are developed at a platform level and used across applications
• Guide engineering efforts within the design system and manage the release process across our wider Digital team. Our team is organized into Tribes, with 'squads' that have 3-5 engineers on each
• Be an engaged member of our Platform Team. Develop UI standards, offer technical expertise, mentor others and conduct code and design reviews

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. This includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing and deployment.
• Work with product managers, designers, solution architects, technical leads and developers.
• Interpret wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements
• Embrace the established standards and best practices in use
• Contribute ideas to keep our technology moving forward.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and efficiently with others
• Report status and work progress to scrum masters and technical leads as requested
• Assist/Mentor other developers
• Adapt and work with team members of various experience levels

Necessary Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of Web Standards and HTML semantics
• Expert CSS knowledge
• Experience with BEM or other modular CSS methodology
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g. Sass or Less)
• Advanced JavaScript knowledge
• Experience using Angular (or other framework) in a corporate environment, not including school
• Experience creating and using reusable UI components
• Experience writing unit tests and utilizing automated testing
• Advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.0
• Familiar with Design and UX guidelines
• Empathy and good verbal, written and listening skills

• Experience guiding, contributing to or using a design system

• Experience with Continuous Integration/ContinuousDelivery environment

• Comfortable working with command line tools & scripting

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000 to $146,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
