The Job Deliver best in class analytics and reporting to support SCAN's operational excellence initiatives. Support SCAN's mission of keeping seniors healthy and independent by driving data-driven approaches to business process transformation and quality improvement. Be a leader within the Enterprise Analytics team, helping drive complex analyses across a variety of business functions including member services, claims, enrollment, grievances & appeals, and other operational areas. This position will help manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of creative analytics approaches, including via advanced analytical and/or statistical models, that will lead to actionable outcomes and informed business decisions. You Will
- Analyze current operational processes/problems, uncover root causes, identify granular segmentations, develop strategies and tactics, test recommendations, and assess results, working closely with both Operations leadership and the Enterprise Analytics team.
- Lead scoping, development, automation, and presentation of scalable analytical and reporting solutions to support SCAN's operational excellence initiatives, including by preparing data for analytic efforts, interpreting findings of complex data analyses, and delivering insights for Operations and Enterprise Analytics leadership consumption.
- Help drive strategic insights and data-informed decisions by clarifying key business needs, resource requirements, and KPIs.
- Develop end-to-end data workflows by leveraging technical knowledge of data wrangling, data automation and business intelligence software (eg., SQL, Alteryx, Python, Tableau and PowerBI).
- Interact regularly with Operations leaders to understand ongoing business needs and forthcoming business changes in order to best deploy analytics solutions that help them achieve their goals and prepare for change.
- Builds consensus on process improvement and re-design opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of SCAN's analytics strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
- Conduct research on operational process industry standards and best practices to inform efficient and effective program improvement development and outcomes.
- Model and promote effective interdepartmental communication between Operations, Analytics, Data, and IT teams to identify areas for greater efficiency including via automation and cross-syndicate departmental goals and priorities.
- Manage a team of analysts and a portfolio of projects, including via supporting intake, prioritization, and delivery in an agile manner aligned to the Enterprise Analytics team operating model; serve as a mentor, coach, and performance manager for reporting line.

Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years' experience in healthcare
- 4+ years' experience using data and analytics to drive process and program improvements
- 2+ years of management level experience
- Knowledge of data wrangling and business intelligence tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI
- Data Automation tools experience a strong plus
- Experience in developing and managing Machine Learning models a strong plus
- Experience with Snowflake and SQL Server tools (T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS)
- Strategy consulting experience a strong plus
- Experience with project management methodologies, including agile, and proficiency with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Lean / Six-Sigma a plus
- Experience designing and delivering solutions related to operational improvement functions.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to get results
- Alteryx, Tableau and/or Power BI, Snowflake. Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, and data viz. tools such as Tableau or Power BI; Snowflake and/or Databricks experience preferred
- Experience with Python or R
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to provide formal reports for leadership at all levels.
- Experience navigating and contributing in a matrix environment, with prior managed care experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of health plan operations: claims processing, customer service/call center, enrollment, billing, grievances & appeals, and more.
- Understands critical success factors for the Medicare Advantage segment.
- Understanding of key revenue levers and cost drivers of business processes, particularly in a a managed care context.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge conversations between data engineers and business partners.
